Lithium ion cell charges from micro USB. Uses one channel of a 2x2.5W class-D amp running from 5V. With some virtual bass boost the sound is quite decent as a background music source. Battery lasted a whole working day at least

Need to redo the plexi front, seems it got too hot in the mill and cracked at the edges
